League of Legends clubs are run primarily in school by teachers and provide an avenue for students to connect in a supportive, team-based environment.
Our internal data shows that 65% of students across Oceania who participate in a League of Legends club do not participate in any other form of school-based extracurricular activity. Clubs are a good opportunity to capture young people who may not be interested in more traditional school-based extracurricular offerings.
There is an open-endedness to how each club operates unique to the school, the students and the individual teacher who facilitates. The club is a space for young people to play League of Legends, but also to converse, learn, connect and engage with a range of material and ideas related to wellbeing, personal development and growth.
