Our week-long mental health event ‘Recall and Restore’ has been running this week, with the goal of promoting good mental health habits among young people.
Recall and Restore is all about putting mental health and wellbeing at the centre of every person’s gaming experience, so we’ve been collaborating with leading mental health organisations headspace and Le Va to create a host of resources to support the young people in your life who may be experiencing a mental health challenge.
They’re now accessible on our website, and cover new topics like:
headspace League of Legends website
headspace support all young people in their mental health journeys. Their new online content is targeted at League of Legends players in Australia, encouraging them to focus on their mental health and wellbeing.
“For many young people, recognising what good physical health looks like is easy,” says headspace CEO Jason Trethowan. “But it can be much harder for them to reflect on their mental health.
“There are a number of easy self-help techniques and strategies that can be incorporated into a young person’s day-to-day life that will make a significant impact to how they’re feeling.”
Le Va Mana Restore
Mana Restore is Le Va’s new website for New Zealand and Pasifika League of Legends players, equipping them with tools and information to regenerate their mental health and wellbeing. Mana Restore is aimed at gamers, their friends and whānau.
“Le Va supports young people to unleash their full potential,” says Dr Monique Faleafa, Le Va’s Chief Executive. “We support young people to have safe, respectful relationships and aim to equip gaming communities with the tools and information to look after their wellbeing.”
